THE LIFE RAFT GROUP

Based in New Jersey, the Life Raft Group (LRG) increases survival and quality of life for GIST patients through patient-powered research, education and empowerment, and global advocacy efforts. Our vision is to champion patient-powered science to drastically increase long-term survivorship for all cancer patients and find a cure for GIST. LRG is the top advocacy leader in the GIST community. We provide support to the GIST community through one-on-one counseling sessions, local in-person meetings, support groups, and special events.

We also offer education through videos and webcasts, our website, newsletter, and science bulletins; and through our online community where our members support each other and share their experiences living with GIST.
